In November 2002, PODDS began working on a secure delivery system that would harnesses the power of the Internet to distribute content to authorized users. With help from our technology partner, Destiny Media Technologies Inc., PODDS was able to develop the PODDS MPE System (Media Protected by Encryption).

PODDS MPE is the solution for safe, controlled digital content distribution. In a new electronic marketplace where the rampant spreading of files is a reality, the PODDS MPE System can provide record labels with the power to securely embrace the medium. The music content is encoded in PODDS’s own proprietary MPE audio format and is then made available to authorized users as defined by the content owner.

These recipients may include radio stations, trade publications, daily’s, buyers or any trusted user that the label themselves authorizes.

The Player software is a web browser interface which has been developed for registered industry professionals to gain access to authorized MPE music files. Similarly, the Player is a simple and feature enhanced format which provides the ability to create personal playlists, quickly preview songs, peruse promotional info, visit the website, download tracks and burn CDs effortlessly. This software is a complete media player, allowing playback of all audio formats.
